This privacy policy applies to the HydroMate: Water & Plant mobile application (herein referred to as “the App”), developed by Jorge Kenichi Ikeda Rodriguez. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect 🔗
HydroMate is designed with privacy as a priority. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information with third parties.
All data you enter into the App — including your daily water intake logs, hydration goals, and preferences — is stored locally on your device and, optionally, in your personal iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled.
2. Apple HealthKit 🔗
HydroMate may request access to Apple HealthKit to enhance your experience:
- Read access: Body mass, active energy burned, and step count — used only to calculate your personalized daily hydration goal.
- Write access (Premium): Dietary water intake — used to sync your logged water consumption to the Health app.
HealthKit data is never used for advertising, never shared with third parties, and never stored on external servers. All HealthKit operations happen on your device.
3. Apple Watch & WatchConnectivity 🔗
If you use the HydroMate Apple Watch app, hydration data is synced directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. This sync occurs only between your own devices and does not involve any external servers.
4. In-App Purchases 🔗
HydroMate offers optional premium subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase through Apple’s StoreKit. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information.
5. Log Data 🔗
In the event of an error in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through Apple’s crash reporting tools. This data may include your device model, operating system version, and app configuration at the time of the crash. This information is used solely for bug fixing and does not identify you personally.
6. Children’s Privacy 🔗
HydroMate does not address anyone under the age of 4. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
7. Third-Party Services 🔗
HydroMate does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
8. Data Retention & Deletion 🔗
All app data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the App will permanently remove all locally stored data. iCloud-synced data can be managed through your iCloud settings.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy 🔗
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
